Introducing the Autumn/Winter 2020 issue of 10 Women Magazine
Family is the theme of this landmark issue of 10 Magazine. We celebrate our 20th birthday in AW2020 with four covers. Ten's creative family rose to the challenge of crafting this 484-page issue in lockdown, during social distancing. The fashion shoots are shot by artists with their families. Arvida Byström enlisted her whole extended family – mother, father, grandmother, brother and dogs. Tierney Gearon’s self-portraits are with her extended family in Malibu, California. Long-term 10 family collaborator Hannelore Knuts worked on a story for the issue in her home in Antwerp with her beautiful son Angelo. Francesca Sorrenti and her daughter Vanina Sorrenti each produced family themed stories. This is the most personal issue of 10 Magazine we have ever produced. As well as a 60 page portrait portfolio featuring Ten’s creative family, the iconic designer, Giorgio Armani has penned a personal essay on his own family and the influence it had on his life and creativity. Alongside that, Vivienne Westwood and her husband Andreas Kronthaler produced a glorious vacation portfolio from their holiday Chalet in the Austrian Alps.
Editor in Chief Sophia Neophitou, who was hospitalised with Covid 19 in March but pulled through to work on this issue, says: “The journey really did sharpen my focus on how I wanted to celebrate so much of my world with this 20-year anniversary issue. This was, for me, an opportunity to celebrate the people whose creativity, loyalty, love, conviction and endless belief have allowed me to continue to be lucky enough to create a world of pure creativity.”
